Let's talk Panels and Pleats

I LOVE panels.  You can use them anywhere.  They can be long, short or mid-length and always look good.  You would think that panels are boring but they are really alot of fun.  The possibilities are really endless once you change one thing, like the pleats.
Let's take a look.  I have attached a few pictures to show you about pleats. (Hopefully the attachment worked)   If not, I have them listed below.
  • Double pinch pleat
  • Triple pinch pleat - reminds me of grandma's house
  • Butterfly pleat
  • Box pleat
  • Inverted box pleat
  • Goblet pleat
  • Top tacked french pleat
  • Euro pleat
These are the most common.  The double and triple pleat can be used in any room.  You can dress the pleat up with covered buttons or any small 3/4" decortive pin.  The inverted box pleat can have a different fabric to give you a little contrast.  As you can see, the possibilites are really endless.  It's picking out the style that is the hardest.  Once that's acomplished, everything else will just fall into place.  You can add trim to the top, bottom or sides but don't get me started with trim or I'll never stop..
