Many hardware accessories are designed to provide stylish accents that complete the look of your window treatments. Holdbacks offer the same functionality as tiebacks, but consist of harder, decorative materials that are secured to a wall and provide a holder for keeping drapes and curtains in an open position. Rings, clips, hooks and pulls connect drapes and curtains to the rod and may be either hidden or visible. Styles range from simple, unadorned wrought iron rings to clips with decorative leaves, stars, branches, and more.

Finials are used to accent numerous styles of window treatments. They can be elaborate, intricate, and luxurious or simple, modern, and sleek. Finials come in many finishes and can be customized to fit your drapery style, size, and taste! Finials provide that "finishing touch" and will give your window treatment hardware a finished look. A goal when re-decorating a kitchen is to make sure the result is comfortable while looking clean and uncluttered. There are three guidelines you should be sure top follow when  re-vamping kitchens. First, pick a limited color palette and don’t stray too far from it. When selecting colors use classic combinations to keep things cohesive.  Second, use blending contrasts in your décor such combining accents that are both new and old, modern and traditional, shiny surfaces with matte ones,  or bold hues with neutrals. This provides a variation of textures and colors. Thirdly give personality to the space with pops of color or patterned textiles. This creates interest within the kitchen and keeps it lively and interactive.

 

Exterior House Colors

Selecting exterior paint colors if often a big and expensive decision and can make or break curb appeal. A homes exterior color should blend with its immediate surroundings. When selecting, consider adjacent homes, surrounding foliage, and the architectural style of your house. If your home is nestled in green foliage use earthy tones. For off white and cream siding, brown and taupe blend well when used on trim and shitters. White trim is a classic choice to keep exterior lines clean and crisp while not overpowering colored siding. White trim can also keep brown exteriors from becoming too bland. For subtle hints of color use muted gold and barn reds on shutters and entry doors; these coordinate, look nice with whites and tans,  and add just enough accent to not overpower the home.

Hollywood glamour is a decorating style surging in popularity. No longer just for the rich and famous, this style features over the top accesories, bold prints, lush textures, and retro furniture. Hollywood glam focuses on making the home a showpiece for guests. To achieve this luxury style designers use bright, glossy colors on furniture, lots of luxe fabrics like velvet, silk, and faux furs, loud colors, and ambient lighting fixtures and chandeliers.

Add Drama
